Beauty And The Beast at Music Hall at Fair Park

Beauty and The Beast, the musical, premiered on Broadway way back in 1994. There's no reason to sugarcoat this, it was bested because of the success of the Lion King. Since that date, there have been various attempts to take the story back into the mainstream theater scene. After an amazing run in London's West End, and a long tour of Australia, this revival is going on a US tour. One of the stops will luckily be in Dallas, Texas on Thursday 18th December 2025.

In other versions of the play, the set design and the colors of the costumes were both kind of dark. This brought a lot of emphasis on The Beast character. This new version is going in a completely different direction. The focus is more on Belle, as it should be. This time around, the audience is greeted with creatively designed sets and bright costumes that light up the stage. When you combine that with the jolly soundtrack, you begin to see why both the British and Australian audiences flocked to this revival. Forgive the spoilers, but the grand entrance that Belle's character and the different members of her French village make, is the ideal counterpart to The Beast's world. What happened in both the UK and Australia was that audiences were super hooked by this point in the play. Things likely won't be any different this evening at Music Hall At Fair Park and the entire US tour for that matter. Gaston's introduction and musical performance tend to be loved by fans. It's really Belle that the story revolves around though, and for this US Tour they've picked a great actress for the role. At the end of the show, you'll be singing and dancing as you stroll out of Music Hall At Fair Park.
